Position Overview

We are seeking a driven and strategic Business Development Representative to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in industrial or transportation and cranes sales, a network in the infrastructure or heavy industries, and a passion for client engagement. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building relationships, and supporting long-term growth in sectors such as oil & gas, mining, construction, utilities, and renewables.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new clients and markets for heavy haul, over-dimensional, and specialized transport services

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, engineering firms, and government stakeholders

• Respond to RFPs, prepare proposals, and collaborate with estimating, operations, and permitting teams

• Attend trade shows, industry events, and networking functions to promote NexGen’s capabilities

• Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to inform strategy

• Support Indigenous partnerships and economic development initiatives where applicable

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in transportation, logistics, cranes, industrial services, or construction-related business development

• Strong knowledge of heavy haul, over-dimensional freight, or specialized rigging is a major asset

• Proven ability to develop and close new business opportunities

• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills

• Self-starter with strong organizational and time management abilities

• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed
