Position: Crawler Crane Mechanic (Heavy Equipment Technician)

Type: Full Time; on rotation for weekends and on-call field repairs

Location: Acheson, Alberta

Are you an experienced mechanic with a passion for heavy equipment? We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician to join our Crawler Crane Division.

Responsibilities:

· Perform routine maintenance and repair on crawler cranes and other heavy machinery, assemble/operate crawler cranes for testing, travel to various locations and repair cranes when required, some field callouts will require overnight stays depending on the job and location.

· Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues and perform repairs efficiently.

· Conduct inspections to ensure safety and compliance with all regulations.

· Troubleshoot and identify problems in the crane’s operation.

· Collaborate with other mechanics and equipment operators to ensure minimal downtime.

· Keep accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed.

· Ensure all work is done in accordance with safety protocols and company guidelines.

Requirements:

· Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician

· Proven experience as a mechanic, with a focus on crawler cranes or similar heavy equipment.

· Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.

· Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.

· Detail-oriented and able to troubleshoot complex issues.

· Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

· Ability to work in outdoor environments, sometimes in adverse weather conditions.

· Strong communication and teamwork skills.

· Required to pass fitness-to-work and drug and alcohol testing.
